Hello! I am Brinda Rana, who dropped her pharmacist tag in 2010 and wore the mommy crown instead. I have spent over a decade in New York which gave me a fulfilling pharmacy career, New Jersey where I met my husband, and Atlanta where my spiritual journey began and most importantly where my daughter Haripriya gave birth to a mother.
Pune, my home now, is where I am experiencing the best of both worlds.
Since 2012, I have been a part of a weekly program where children (ages 5-14) are taught various aspects of Vedic philosophy in an easy, fun and engaging way. Children also derive various moral and ethical lessons that they can apply in their lives. Such spiritual training nurtures their capacity to make positive and responsible choices in life.
As more and more parents felt a compelling need to instil spiritual values in their children, I felt inspired to help. Watering the Root is a humble attempt in helping parents and children understand the deep rooted philosophy of Vedic culture and along the way learn moral and ethical values as well.
I cannot claim that I am an expert or leading by example, but I am certainly trying to walk the talk and hoping that many of you will join me in doing the same.
Would love to hear from you, so do get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
